Thanks to advances in synthetic pigments and oil formulations, oil paints are now available in a wide range of colours, consistency, and drying times.

2. Acrylic paint

Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paint is a more recent medium, having been invented in 1934 and popularly used from the 1960s onwards.

3. Watercolor paint

Watercolour paint is a type of paint made with finely ground pigments suspended in a water based solution. It’s known for its translucent qualities, and washes.
