My name is Uro Erichsen, and I’m an expressionistic, contemporary artist based in Paternoster. With a background in psychology, having completed my Master’s degree, I’ve always been fascinated by the complexities of the human mind. Painting, for me, is a way to delve deeper into understanding the human psyche.
My artistic journey began 29 years ago as a portrait artist, capturing both human and wildlife subjects. After spending five transformative years in Italy, I shifted toward abstract contemporary art. Working with mixed media and oils allows me to feel truly alive, as I express my inner emotions and experiences.
In my Barn studio, nestled in Paternoster, I find inspiration after long walks in nature, translating those feelings onto canvas. My work has found homes in both national and international collections, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to share my creative vision with the world.
