I am Qeren Creates, a South African visual artist born in 1995. My multidisciplinary approach delves into the realms of emotion and intellect. Central to my artistic expression is the endeavour to externalise the intricate landscapes of human thought and feeling.

At the heart of my portfolio lies a distinctive motif: the Imaginary Friend. This character symbolises the innate optimism that accompanies us from birth, often fading into obscurity as we navigate through adulthood. My art transcends mere aesthetics; it serves as a catalyst for meaningful discourse and societal transformation. By exploring themes of identity, agency, and perspective, I prompt viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Through this exploration, individuals are encouraged to reconnect with their personal reservoirs of hope, finding resonance within the broader context of society and humanity.

My artistic endeavours have garnered recognition both locally and internationally. In 2023, Design Indaba selected me as one of South Africa’s most promising emerging artists, spanning various disciplines. Moreover, my works have found their place in collections of institutions such as Art Bank South Africa, The National Museum, and The South African Innovation Summit.
