I embarked on my artistic journey in 1983 when I was accepted into the Master’s Degree program at the Royal College of Art in London. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of participating in various national and international art competitions, leaving an indelible mark on the art scene.
My accolades include recognition in prestigious events such as the Cape Town Biennial, the South African Day Republic Day festival, and the Grand Prix International Art Plastiques in Nice, France, where I proudly received awards for my artistic contributions. Noteworthy among my achievements is the Grand Prix International Art Plastiques award in 1994 and representing South Africa in the “Art beyond Borders” exhibition in Germany in 1998.
My artistic endeavours extend beyond traditional exhibitions; I’ve installed sculptures, conceptual pieces, and installations in various public spaces. In 2008, I held a solo exhibition at the Joao Ferreira Gallery in Cape Town, followed by another solo exhibition in Dubai in 2009.
From 2010 to 2020, I’ve continued to make a significant impact on the art scene, exhibiting my works at prestigious galleries. My artistic journey has been marked by continuous exploration and innovation, evident in my installations of liquid crystal artworks at the University Kaust Museum in the Middle East in 2010.
My legacy in the art world reflects my enduring commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
