About the Artist

I was born in Cape Town in 1974, and my artistic journey has been a fascinating exploration of various mediums and styles. My creative path took an interesting turn while I was living and working in London. It was there that I discovered my passion for photography, which eventually led me to graduate from the Ruth Prowse School of Art with a diploma in artistic photography.

While I initially focused on photography, I later found a new outlet for my creativity on canvas. I was drawn to the world of acrylic painting, where I could translate my unique ideas and inspirations into vibrant artworks. My artistic style has been heavily influenced by the Impressionists, who have left an indelible mark on my work. Additionally, I draw inspiration from the rich and diverse flora of my local surroundings.

In my artistic practice, I employ a variety of techniques to capture the essence of light, texture, and movement. My paintings are known for their dynamic and expressive qualities, often utilising a palette knife to interpret the beauty that surrounds me. My preferred style is large and expressive, allowing me to fully convey the emotions and sensations evoked by my subject matter.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of exhibiting my artwork in local galleries, and I am proud to have garnered international recognition, with my pieces finding homes in collections worldwide.

My artistic journey continues to be a source of profound joy and exploration, as I seek to push the boundaries of my creativity and share the beauty I find in the world through my work.
