I am Alida Cahi and art is my passion. Ever since I can remember I have been creative but it was by chance and then obviously by choice that I began drawing and painting as a career in 2017. My two children had grown into adults and for the first time I had time on my hands to peruse this passion.

Creating art has become the channel for my racing mind and my enthusiastic love for life.

I draw my inspiration from my extensive travels, from food, from fashion and mostly from what’s trending on social media. I am constantly learning and when I am not paining I love to watch art related documentaries or read one of my books on art and famous artists. My style varies depending on my mood and feelings from serious images of everyday happenings in the political and geographical world to explosions of flamboyant flair full of colour and catch phrases.

Currently I am loving doing pop art which is enjoying a wide audience across the world. The COVID pandemic acted as a spring board for my works on newspaper. These pieces have resonated with my buyers and I take great pleasure in knowing that my works hang in homes and offices across the world. My palate is colourful and bright and I love using acrylics as my medium. My work space is my safe place and my haven. I love to be surrounded by beautiful things be they furnishings, fresh flowers, bowls of delicious fruit, coloured glass and of course art. There is such freedom in doing art. It is an extension of who I am and what I see in everyday living.
