I am a painter based in Cape Town, born in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, in 1978. My father, a carpenter, hoped I would follow in his footsteps at the workshop due to my early interest in drawing.
However, my true passion lay in art, and I pursued it wholeheartedly. I studied painting at the Institute of Fine Arts at Kinshasa High School and completed my Matric in 1999. Additionally, I dedicated a year to studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa.
In my artistic journey, I utilize acrylic on canvas, focusing on portraits of renowned figures and imaginative faces. Moreover, I have explored drawing African braids, finding inspiration in this captivating subject.
Currently residing in Cape Town, I continuously nurture my passion for painting alongside my work in a different field. My ongoing projects include engaging in newspaper collages, where I experiment with materials and expand my artistic palette, exploring new dimensions in my creative expression.
