Viva La Revolution
A portrait of a person in a stance that has become synonymous with #enough is enough. Rendered in blue it represents a colour-blind society that promotes equality.
The grid of gender symbols not only refers to binary code and a doodle grid, used by some street artists to transfer their concept art to scale onto a wall. It also refers to how we need to reprogram the theory of “social roles”, so that a new paradigm in gender policies and marks can be created.
Reprogram how we parent, educate and generally treat boys and girls differently and how enduring the stereotype that boy’s can’t and should not feel emotions and get bought toy guns to encourage aggressive behaviour.
The yellow background represents non-binary and the two both blue, male and female surfs refer to how assigning colours to babies, enforces the stereotype role they are supposed to grow and fit into.
Todays Pop Art is hugely influenced by street art. Using similar references and mediums, it allows the viewer to now own a piece of this anonymous public art and bring it inside, into their own private space.
All art is packaged professionnally in boxes or cardboard packaging.
