Since Audrey Hepburn was a subject for Andy Warhol’s silkscreen work, her portraits are a favourite for thousands of Pop Artists around the world.
This artwork is inspired by a unique portrait, shot by Bud Fraker in 1954 for the movie “Sabrina” I start by redrawing the reference photograph, remixing and repurposing the original photographer’s intention, by altering and reinterpreting it to reach a different audience.
My graphic pop artwork is rooted in technology, borrowing a variety of contradictory visual imagery (such as stickers, comic strips, social media icons). Through various digital processes, I manipulate, paint and layer these images in, behind and around a portrait, to create a whole new mixed media digital artwork.
All art is packaged professionnally in boxes or cardboard packaging.
